This is a virtuous circle that allows us to achieve our primary goal: producing quality wines while preserving the environment, biodiversity, and water resources in vine-growing areas.
Organic farming, a founding commitment
A long-standing commitment, organic farming is an integral part of the Hecht & Bannier DNA. Certified by Ecocert since the 2007 vintage, we very early on chose to integrate organic into the heart of our development, convinced that it is an obvious choice for the great Mediterranean terroirs of Provence and Languedoc-Roussillon. These pioneering vineyards offer an ideal environment for expressing viticulture that respects life.
Choosing organic is, above all, about protecting the environment by refusing the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and GMOs, whose impacts on biodiversity, soils, and water resources are now widely established. It also means more accurately revealing the identity of the terroirs by promoting natural interactions between the soil, the plant, and the climate, for more authentic and expressive wines.
Our commitment is also human and ethical. It translates into lasting relationships with winemakers who share our values, attentive to their vines, their environment, and the quality of the wines produced. Producing organic wines means protecting those who make them and those who taste them, while integrating our work into a responsible, demanding, and sustainable approach.
