Nouvelle vague
A New Wave in the Old Midi
At the dawn of the 2000s, Gregory Hecht and François Bannier founded their winery in the South of France. The local vine growers were taken aback by the arrival of two young professionals—newcomers to the region—who sought to bring a fresh perspective, drawing upon their experience from other wine regions.
Vintage after vintage, critics lauded the cuvées of this "new wave of wine". The two partners were soon dubbed the "Wine Beach Boys" of the vineyard, as much for their surfer aesthetic as for their relaxed, uninhibited approach to the old traditional winemaking South.
In a nod to this moniker, Hecht & Bannier launched their "Nouvelle Vague" (New Wave) collection, offering both varietal and blended wines under the Vin de France denomination. Crafted from organically cultivated grapes, these wines are made to provide lively, fresh, and delightful drinking experiences.
