Un Verre de Mentino

Languedoc

Sources

Aigues-Mortes, Saint Chinian, Saint Bauzille de la Sylve, Espira de l’Agly

Varieties

100 % Rolle (Vermentino)
Le Rolle est l’un des rares cépages qui peut se consommer comme un raisin de table. Les grosses baies sont juteuses, très aromatiques, et dévoilent des notes d’aubépine et de pommes à cidre et de pommes à couteaux comme la Chanteclerc.

Blend

Our Languedoc Blanc is a blend of two southern varietals which complement each other: Piquepoul Blanc and Roussanne.

Bordering the Etang de Thau, they have the benefit of relatively cool terroirs on which vines “stare” at the sea.
This mild maritime influence, throughout the summer, enables to preserve acidity in the fruits. Both varietals being late ripening grapes, they fit the Mediterranean climatic conditions. They allow the aromatic flavors preservation until the harvest at the end of September or early October for some Piquepoul.

Maturing

100% stainless steel tank

Tasting

An explosive nose of white fruits, pear and quince but also floral notes of elderberry and citrus. A Glass of Mentino is not reserved for aperitif; it has a fairly structured body that allows it to accompany terrines, grilled fish and vegetables, asparagus and artichokes.
