Smoked earth, currants, cured meats and spices all emerge from the rich, full-bodied 2014 Faugeres. A blend of 60% Syrah, 25% Mourvèdre and 15% Carignan, aged mostly in demi-muids, it has a smoking mid-palate, a ripe, layered textured and a big finish. Like in 2013, it’s another hidden gem in this lineup.
